Generate the course on desktop
Open the episode in Netflix with the LingoSlam extension, then choose Generate course. - 2
Use the same LingoSlam account
The mobile course must be synced to the account used on desktop. - 3
Open the episode on mobile
If it is not available yet, LingoSlam shows Course not loaded and sends you back to the desktop-generation step.
iOS & iPadOS
iPhone and iPad
Netflix PiP requires iOS or iPadOS 14 or later. Netflix says PiP is unavailable on iPhone and iPad with its ad-supported experience.
Install LingoSlam

Open LingoSlam in Safari
Use Safari's Share or More menu. - 2
Add it to the Home Screen
Choose Add to Home Screen, enable Open as Web App, and tap Add.

Start the episode

Open the prepared LingoSlam course
Leave it ready at the beginning of the episode. - 2
Start the same episode in Netflix
Enter PiP by tapping its PiP control or leaving Netflix while playback is running. - 3
Return to LingoSlam
Start the LingoSlam session at the same point as Netflix. Move or resize the floating video if it covers the lesson.
Android
Phone and tablet
Netflix PiP requires Android 8.0 or later and a device that supports it. Larger tablets may also offer split-screen mode.
Install and enable PiP

Install the LingoSlam web app
In Chrome, tap More, then Add to home screen → Install. - 2
Allow Netflix Picture in Picture
Open Settings → Apps → Special app access → Picture-in-picture, select Netflix, and enable it. - 3
Start both timelines together
Start Netflix, switch to LingoSlam so Netflix enters PiP, and begin the prepared course at the same point.

When a learning moment is ready
Pause Netflix
Tap Netflix's floating PiP window, pause it, then confirm in LingoSlam.
Complete the lesson
Read the teaching card and answer its question.
Continue together
Resume Netflix first, then confirm in LingoSlam so its timeline continues.
What Pause controls
In same-device mode, LingoSlam can pause only its own subtitle and lesson timeline. Netflix must be paused from its PiP controls because iOS and Android do not let the PWA control the separate Netflix app.
Optional pairing
Keep your phone as the controller.
Pairing is still available and is separate from same-device mode. In paired mode, commands go to Netflix playing in the supported desktop browser.

Scan the QR code or enter the six-character room code. - 3
Control the desktop player
Play, Pause, Repeat, supported seeking, answers, and mode switching continue through the paired controller.
